Spray Foam Insulation –Grants and Rebates
Canadian and provincial government grants and energy rebates can help pay for your insulation costs as you build an energy efficient home. Spray foam insulation’s high R-value will also assist you in building green as you save energy and money.
Government Insulation Rebate - Save up to $3,150
Energy rebates are available through C3 (Climate Change Central) from the Alberta Government, the City of Edmonton and the City of Medicine Hat.
All Albertans who participate in the federal government's ecoENERGY Retrofit Program, perform qualifying insulation upgrades, and undertake a post-retrofit evaluation on or after January 1, 2009 are eligible for a provincial rebate.
New Home Energy Rebate- Save up to $10,000
All Albertans who take possession of a new EnerGuide labelled single-family or multi-family row home (excluding stacked multi-family construction) on or after January 1, 2009 are eligible for one of the following rebates:
- $1,500 for new homes that meet or exceed EnerGuide 80;
- $3,000 for new homes that meet or exceed EnerGuide 82; or
- $10,000 for new homes that meet or exceed EnerGuide 86.
Home Renovation Grants – Canadian Government
The ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program provides grants up to $5,000 to help homeowners make their homes more energy-efficient and reduce the burden of high energy costs. The Government of Canada has renewed the program from June 6, 2011, until March 31, 2012.
